Outreach Centers
YUGO's primary way of reaching Mexicans with the Gospel is through people like you and churches like yours who bring teams to Mexico to minister for one week. Each team is assigned a Mexican community in which to work through an established Mexican church, or a church in the process of being planted. We currently have outreach centers in Tijuana, Ensenada, Mexicali, and Acuna where you can serve with us.
Ensenada Outreach Center (EOC)
The E.O.C. is located 4 miles south of Ensenada Mexico in the sleepy little pueblo of Chapultepec. It is a safe, enclosed campus within walking distance of the local beaches. In general, the community is clean and rich in Mexican culture. It is deeper into Mexico than most of the border cities YUGO ministers in, and is more representative of the Mexican culture. Ensenada is an area often overlooked for short-term missions because of its reputation for tourism. However, less than 1% of the 600,000 people of Ensenada are tourists, and less than 5% are evangelical Christian. Our Ensenada location offers the most flexibility for small groups to minister through construction, Children's VBS, Sports Ministry, Women's Ministry or church retreats.
Tijuana Outreach Center (TJOC)
YUGO hosts evangelistic outreaches during the summer months at our Tijuana Outreach Center, where groups participate in minis-tering to Mexican children, teenagers and adults. The Outreach Center also serves as the location for YUGO's Grace Bible Institute (Instituto Biblico de la Gracia) which serves to train Mexican pastors in God's word and in biblical leadership. Construction crews may work with local Mexican churches or help improve the Outreach Center itself. Groups are encouraged to use the Tijuana facility at any time throughout the year to host their church's family camp, or to serve as a retreat center, conference location or training facility.
Mexicali Outreach Center (MOC)
YUGO has been hosting youth outreaches in Mexicali since 1964! It is here in the Mexicali valley where YUGO began! YUGO currently hosts three weeks of youth outreaches in the Mexicali area each year, during Christmas and Spring breaks. The Mexicali property is home to the local Mexican church, Iglesia Biblica Fundamental. This facility also houses the Logos Bible Institute where, since 1985, Mexicans can come to receive formal Biblical instruction.
Acuna Outreach Center (AOC)
Since 2005, we have been working in the growing city of Acuña, just across the border from Del Rio, TX. We know of no other ministries partnering with churches to do evangelism here. The Outreach Headquarters is at Camp Getsemaní in Acuña, Mexico. They provide a kitchen, dining hall, chapel, and air conditioned dorms for both guys and girls – not to mention the shade trees!
Grace Children's Home
The vision of Grace Children’s Home is to meet the spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental needs of homeless children and seniors. What makes GCH unique is that it provides a family situation for each child. GCH believes children belong in a family situation and exists today to provide that opportunity through group homes, foster care and adoptions.
Mercy Ministries / Humanitarian Relief
"In a third-world country like Mexico, most people are consumed with the daily struggles of survival. They struggle each day to obtain adequate food, housing and clothes for their family. Things such as medical and dental care are luxuries for them. When the sick are able to see a doctor, usually they discover the medications needed are simply unaffordable. In order to assist the Mexican people in meeting their basic needs, YUGO has formed this "Mercy Ministries" division. ESL programs, Breakfast Feeding Programs, Medical & Dental clinics, El Faro Prison ministry, and Project Joy outreach are a few of the ways that we reach out to meet this need.
Church Planting
YUGO is committed to planting churches in Mexico and are currently partnering with four church planters working in Mexico.
Maneadero Church, Ensenada
Since 2000, Juan and Karrie's Ambrocio have served as the pastors for Maneadero church. As a family, it is their desire to serve the Lord with their lives, depending on His faithfulness and love for all they have. They are continuing to pastor the small church with hopes of raising up leaders within the congregation which could plant cell groups, teach discipleship classes and plant other churches. It is also their desire to give support to the other pastors in their area.
