Theme 2012
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down
our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister
in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us
not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth." 1 John 3:16-18 (NIV)

At the heart of our ministry is love. Love is a powerful word that has lost a lot of its significance, but in its truest sense,
we at YUGO Ministries are striving to be love, to bring love, and to share love to those around us. In particular, we desire
to bring love - God's love - to the people of Mexico. Our goal isn't to 'fix them' or 'pity them' or 'judge them'... our goal
is to love them. We want to tell Mexico that we love them! We want to say Mexico, yo te amo! (Mexico, I love you.)
Jesus is not calling his church to be "only hearers of the Word" (James 1:22),
but to "do what it says." And what it says is to love others.
Our expressions of love may vary throughout the ministry; some teams build homes, others play with kids, some
ministries love on pastors while others take in orphaned children. Regardless of what we do, we desire to do it
all because of our deep love of Jesus, and this deep love for Jesus has stirred in us a love for his people.
While we recognize that there are great spiritual and physical needs all over the world, we feel a specific call and responsibility to the country of Mexico. We are making a declaration this year! We want to humbly and passionately declare to
"Mexico, yo te amo!"
