Mexicali Valley Ministry
YUGO Ministries was born in Mexicali in 1964!
The Mexicali Valley Ministry exists to carry out the outreach ministry of YUGO, so that lives are transformed by Jesus Christ in Mexico and the World. Our desire at MVM is to provide opportunites, care for the “least of these”, and to be a part of God’s transforming work in Mexicali.
We partner with the Church, and promote opportunities to proclaim the Gospel.
The MVM is located in an area of the Mexicali valley known as Colonia Sinaloa. The villages and communities we serve are in the fields and rural areas on the outskirts of Mexicali. Due to extreme poverty, and lack of opportunity, there is much work that needs be done in these communities.
The MVM is committed to the ideal that all of our work will be done through the local church, with local support and leadership. We have, and continue to develop, strong connections with pastors, churches, and Bible institutes throughout the area.
The MVM hosts many programs, ministry teams, and activities. One of the ministries that we are very passionate about is our team ministry. Through our team ministry, we host teams who are participating in short term missions trips. Teams can build houses, run children’s programs, serve in feeding ministries, encourage pastors... and the list goes on and on. We provide the facilities and
program as well as organize the ministry opportunities so that these teams can have a fantastic, effective ministry experience.
When we are not hosting teams, the MVM staff is busy serving and working. Through ongoing daycare ministries, equipping the local pastors, Church planting and hosting local Mexican groups, we are continually engaging in the community, and striving to be the hands and feet of Jesus here in Mexicali. There are many ways, aside from sending a team, that you can support these efforts.
